The Duke Eating Disorders Program offers individual parent training
and nutritional counseling for childhood feeding disorders that are
judged by the treating physician to benefit from behavioral intervention.
We help parents develop skills to improve the feeding relationship,
the meal environment, communication, and emotion regulation –
skills that can make the experience of eating more pleasant for both
parent and child. Disorders we address include diabetes, failure to
thrive, “picky eaters,” among others.
